How it works
The events happen in an afternoon, usually on Saturdays, from 2 pm to 6 pm with various recreational activities to create a good atmosphere for the interaction between the participants. They take place once a semester with different themes. The couples usually help to organize the event decoration and some of the activities during systematic meetings before each edition.
There are two previews meetings for couples qualified for adoption to interact with professionals of the city's judiciary and the organizing committee of the event. Once your participation is approved, you will receive a form in your email or What's App to confirm your participation in the meetings.

Our story
The idea arose in 2016 from the initiative of the business student Marcella Cesa Bertoluci when she was 16 years old and studying at Colégio Farroupilha. He participated in an event promoted by a local social business called Smile Flame in partnership with Unisinos (her university) which sought to encourage a young entrepreneurial spirit in the social sphere in a disruptive and innovative way, Marcella and her group decided to solve the problem of the lack of visibility of late adoption.

In 2017, with the support of the 2nd Court of Childhood and Youth of the District of Porto Alegre and the Public Ministry of Rio Grande do Sul, the project was put into practice and hosted at Colégio Farroupilha. On June 17th, the event gathered around 40 adults qualified for adoption and 35 children/teenagers from foster homes bringing them together with various recreational activities that make the environment conducive to the interaction and fun of those involved.

Today, 5 editions of the project were made and 8 children were adopted. In addition, several participants in the events increased the age range of the children's choice profile (Brazilian bureaucracy).
